BELL RINGING FOR HAITI- My children are very effected by the pictures of other children suffering. We do not have a lot of cash to spare, but energy we have lots of. We think our small town of Hudson, WI would respond gratefully to Bell Ringing (which the kids do every year at Christmas time with their classmates)and we think the stores would allow this happily. Could we be allowed to Ring for Haiti? or is their something our small Lutheran school could gather and send? Yours, the Sullivan’s. P.S. Are most of the orphanages in Port au Prince or are they scattered about? I am a Special Ed. teacher and can not imagine what parents and caregivers are doing. We are having a prayer time time led by the kids for these poor people. As usual the Salvation Army is right on the scene. God Bless You. Mary Sullivan

I grew up attending the Salvation Army, Middeltown, CT corp. The principles and values the Salvation Army instilled in me as a Sumbeam, Girl Guard, Jr. Soilder and Honor Jr. Solider have shaped me into the person I am today. Therefore, it was a “no-brainer” for my husband and I when we decided to donate to the releif efforts in Haiti through the Salvation Army. However, when we tried to donate via electronically, the website would not respond. Can you email me a phone number so we can make a contribution over the phone.

I am watching the coverage of the Haiti situation on CNN. The media is informing people that money is desperately needed for food, water, clothing and rescue efforts. However, I am a social worker and my husband is an IT professional and we would be more than willing to volunteer in Haiti if our services are needed. Thank you.

I’ve been trying for about 20min. to get through on the website to donate, but unfortunately the system seems overloaded. I pray for all of those people and that God shows the way to any survivors. I will keep trying to make a donation, but unfortunately, I will have to try tomorrow. I, like a lot of people around the world, wish there was so much more I could do, but am on the lower end of the earning scale. I pray that God seeps into the hearts of the wealthy and they donate all that they can, time and money. May God be with the people of Haiti and all of those there helping.

Our Hearts and Prayers go out to these poor poor people. This is very sad, and I thank ALL the people and especially Salvation Army from the bottom of our hearts, for helping these people in this terrible terrible situation. Bless you all.
